2 months too long!

This is my latest creation.  It's a Minion from the movie Despicable me.  I made it for a friend who LOVES the movie.

Ah crochet creations, I'm working on something new but I won't be able to disclose it until it's finished.
My first Baby has turned 4.  She's sucha big girl, it's hard to believe 4 years have gone by yet.  She really waned a barbie cake so I made this one from scratch.

Mmmm, yummy, sister for lunch!

Conan O'Brien Crochet Doll

Since I've been home, I 've taken up some of my creativity and applied it to a craft that I haven't done in a while.  I've always been able to crochet but I have never actually crochet anything besides a scarf or a hat.  Here is one of Jason's favorite late night comedians, Conan O'Brien in Crochet form.

 Close up!
He even has a removeable beard (if any of you are fans, you would know that he shaved his beard for one of his shows) as well as a removeable jacket.

I got the pattern from a blog, you can find her things at http://www.craftyiscool.blogspot.com/.  She's got some really impressive crochet dolls, take a look!

A New Beginning!

So, many of you who personally know me, may know a little bit about my circumstances over the past 6 months and I haven't mentioned anything on my blog about it but ... in order to not incriminate myself (if anyone's seen the movie The Social Network) I will only say this much ...

Over the past 6 months, I have never been so mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted.  I have been pushed to my limits and I never wish to return to that state of being ever again.  Therefore, inlight of the title of this post, and a change in the description of my blog, I am in a rebuilding phase of my life.  I am rebuilding with my children and am officially a professional SAHM (stay at home mom.)  However, no matter what I endured over the past 6 months, I will always be "A Work In Progress."

Here's to being Happy!

"Getting to Know You"

I know I haven't "blogged" in a while but the past 4 months, I have been busy getting to know my new little guy.

Here's some things I've learned.

Andrew looks a LOT like his older sister but personality wise, he is a very different baby.
Abby slept through the night at 3 months.  Andrew is now 4 months and needs attention at least once a night.
At night, Andrew needs to be swaddled, Abby hated being confined.
Andrew also takes a pacifier (and is now a paci addict that we're trying to break him before 6 months).  Abby never took a pacifier.
Andrew smiles a LOT.  He's usually smiling, even if he's not happy you can usually get him to smile.
Andrew makes much more noise than Abby ever did.
Andrew likes to be held.  He'd prefer to be held at all times if it were possible.
Since he likes to be held all the time, he LOVES his baby bjorn.  Abby never did.
Andrew does not like to cuddle.  Abby was, and still is, a cuddler.
Andrew can stick his whole hand in his mouth (wow) it's even more amazing when he sticks BOTH of his hands in his mouth, we call that a "Hand Sandwich" (har-har-har).
Andrew chews on his tongue (weird but HIL-arious.)

Here's some nick-names we use for Andrew

Drew, Drewbers (as in McDrewber), Bear, Man-Pie, Chubs, Andrewbies

Here's a video of Andrew chewing on his tongue, it's a little dark but still funny.
